“THE BOATING GROUP GOES FISHING”

Fitting in with “Welcome to the Great Outdoors” theme, this is a new idea linked with the widening range of Boating Group activities. Plus fishing has been prescribed by certain GPs as being “beneficial to mental wellbeing”. This has been canvassed to some members and received a very positive feedback.

These are going to be a series of weekend events without sailing. Campsites will be on or near to fishing lakes.

Our 2026 events are going to be at Springwood, Melbourne, South Derbyshire. DE73 8RJ. Electric is included for caravans and motorhomes but unfortunately not for tents.

If you wish to join us for this event then please book your pitch directly with the site and inform Richard you have booked. We do hope to run social activities (fish & chip supper etc)along side the fishing.
