SITE DETAILS
The Boating Group have been fortunate in arranging a small THS at this gem of a site right on the waters edge of Lake Coniston. Most pitches are next to the lake although screened with trees and shrubs. There are several launching areas suitable for small sailing craft, inflatables, kayaks and boards. We have been able to negotiate fee’s which include metered electric hook up, use of toilets and showers (which are quite basic but clean) and launching for boats etc. The pitches are all commercial hard standing, not on a separate rally field. Social programme will be arranged.
The site is situated within a short 10 minute walk from the pier head where the launch and historic steam Gondola sail from. A further 10 minute walk and you will be in the village of Coniston with a range of shops, cafes and pubs. There is also a regular bus service to Ambleside and Hawkshead. The bus stop is by the site entrance next to the Coniston Inn.
